Jesse Buchsbaum committed suicide due to bullying.

Jesse Buchsbaum, 17, of Boyertown, passed away on Monday, Oct. 25 at home. Born in 1993, he was the beloved son of Charles "Bud" and Louise C. (Beltramo) Buchsbaum of Boyertown. Jesse attended Boyertown High School. He attended Vo-Tech where he first started out in architecture, but changed to culinary arts. He was good with his hands and enjoyed building models of all types with his father. He was a kind and caring young man who was friendly and helpful to everyone. Along with his parents, he is survived by his sister, Samantha Louise Buchsbaum, and his cat, Spot.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, 11 a.m. at St. Columbkill RC Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown with Fr. Martin Kern officiating. Burial was followed in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer. Visitation was held on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help with the funeral costs to National Penn Bank, P.O.Box 547, Boyertown, Pa., 19512 under the "Jesse Fund".
