She was born December 19, 1912 in Otis, the daughter of John Egelske and Mary Wozniak, who preceded her in death.
On November 28, 1968 at St. Patrick Church Chesterton, she married Stanley Wozniak, who survives in Chesterton.
She is survived by two sons, James(Elaine) Batz and Jack (Cathy) Batz; a son inlaw Cal Cheesborough; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Husband John Batz; two daughters, Christine Cheesbough, and her 12 year old daughter, Jeanna Batz; 6 sisters and 7 brothers.
She was a homemaker and a member of St Patrick Catholic Church, Duneland Historical Society and Laport County Historical Society. She was a practical nurse, an avid gardner and a professional seamstress.
A Mass Christian Burial, F. Kevin R Huber officiating, is scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday at St Patrick Church, 638 N Calumet Rd., Chesterton. Internment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St. Chesterton.
Memorials may be made in the form of Masses for Martha Batz Woznizk.
