Mrs. Matilda Elizaeth Bodine, 74, died in a local hospital Monday night. She was born in Texas, January 4, 1855, and after joining the L. D. S. church in 1898, was an active worker in the Kelsey, Texas branch. She and her husband came to Salt Lake with their family in 1912, and she had since continued her activities and engaged in work in the L. D. S. temple.
Surviving are her husband, William T. Bodine, three sons; John J., of Mill Creek Arthur L. and Oscar, both of Salt Lake; and a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Gray Coleman, of Texas. Four brothers also survive. They are Columbus, Henry, James and Thomas Click, all residing in Texas.
