Orville William Rathbone was the son of the late Richard Long and Etta Mae Rathbone. He was also preceded in death by a son, Raymond Elic "Dutch" Rathbone in 1957, a daughter, Mary Alice Rathbone in 1940 and one sister Edith Louise Rathbone 1928.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Carleen Cody Rathbone.
Five daughters Ruba Lee Rathbone Caldwell, husband James, Hester Rosetta Rathbone Cagle, husband Melvin, Margaret Regina Rathbone Meadows, husband Virgil, Amanda Evelyn Rathbone Meadows, husband John and Sally Katheryn Rathbone. And 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Sisters Mora Rosetta Rathbone, Genevieve Rathbone Ledford, husband William, Helen Rathbone, Lura Mae Rathbone McElroy. Brothers Mark, wife Opal, R.L., wife Stella, Dale, wife Frankie, Kenneth, wife Mary, and Ted Rathbone.
Mr. Rathbone was retired from Champion Paper mill and was farmer.
He was the most beloved father and grandfather and last of the real mountain men.
