Mary Elizabeth Tryon, daughter of Ira D. Tryon (Thursday, March 27, 1884 - Wednesday, April 29, 1970) and Leona Strouse Pugh Tryon (Thursday, March 17, 1887 - Sunday, May 27, 1973) was born in Decker, Knox County, Indiana on Friday, June 16, 1911. She was the second of three children in the family. Her brother was Edwin Ira Tryon (Thursday, October 22, 1908 - Thursday, November 29, 1973). Her sister was Anna Mae Tryon Kirk (Sunday, October 12, 1913 - Saturday, July 20, 2002). Mary married Leo Albert Schauer (Monday, July 29, 1889 - Saturday, July 27, 1963). They had no children. She worked for several years as an office manager for a Pittsburgh doctor. Leo Schauer was a food store manager and a guard for the Pittsburgh Branch of the Cleveland Federal Reserve System. Mary passed away on Monday, January 23, 1995. She is buried at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
