Christened Daniel, he used the name Leonard during his life. (Medical): Leonard slipped off a sluiceway while trying to dislodge a rowboat in Collings Lake. Another workman had left the scene to get a crowbar so they could lower the boards in the flood gate to release water. Mrs. Kathryn Schangel saw him fall and she got into a canoe and paddled to the spot but he was pinned beneath the spillway. He was employed by the Collings Lake Development Company and was a caretaker at the lake.
