Gladyse Loretta Peterson Taylor Stang, 84, passed away April 13, 2009 in Delta. Born December 31, 1924 in Delta to Oscar Carl and Grace Ivie Peterson. Married James Nathan Taylor on Feb. 28, 1947 in Loa, UT. He died June 15, 1964. Married Alvin F. Stang, Aug. 1, 1975 in Delta. He died May 11, 1995. Gladyse was raised in Delta, where she received her education and later raised her own family. Loved her children, grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Enjoyed playing Bunco and spending time with family. Loved and appreciated all her neighbors and friends who were so helpful to her. Loved the Lord and accomplished life goal of doing her temple work. Loved her friends from Hospice and considered them angels. Believed that eating cabbage and carrots contributed to her long life. Survived by children: Mattie (Ned) Sperry, Nephi; Ray Taylor, Orem; Deila (Dale) Bond, Delta; Nate (Sherry) Taylor, Pleasant Grove; and Alan Taylor, Delta; sisters: Oneta Fisher and Edith Hansen; brother: Carl Peterson; and sisters-in-law: Rayola Smith and Olive Allred. Preceded in death by first husband: Nathan Taylor; second husband: Alvin F. Stang; son: Kenneth Taylor and his wife, Dianne Taylor; granddaughter: Kathy Porter; and grandson: Jacob Webb. Gladyse was great example and very strong matriarch. Very loved by her family and will be greatly missed. We are truly grateful that we were blessed to know and love such a great lady. Services: Saturday, April 18, 2009, 11 a.m., Delta 4th LDS Ward. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, Friday evening, 7-8 p.m. and Saturday morning at church, 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial Delta Cemetery.
