Harlan "Pop" Campbell, 75, of Horace Bitner Road, Chuckey, died Thursday evening at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Campbell was a retired U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife: Viola Marie Campbell of Newport; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Lewis and Pat Campbell of Chuckey and Robert H. Campbell; a grandson: Charlie Joe Kelley of Chuckey; four brothers: Herman Campbell of Johnson City, L.D. Campbell of Erwin, Bill Campbell of South Carolina, and J.P. Campbell of Unicoi; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a son of the late William Powell Campbell and Amanda Gouge Campbell and was preceded in death by his first wife: Christine Campbell; an infant daughter; and his stepfather: Jim Campbell.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Kiser Funeral Home.
Family and friends will meet at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in Providence Cemetery for a graveside service. The Rev. Raymond Cosgrove Jr. will officiate.
Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post #1990, will conduct a military graveside service.
