Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. Burial will follow in the Emmett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 until 8 p.m. at the Chapel.
Bob was born July 25, 1921 at Glendo, Wyoming. He grew up and attended school in Bridgeport, Nebraska. He married Bernice Myers on March 23, 1941 at Bridgeport. They came to Idaho in 1945 and Bob worked for the Idaho Meat Pack in Caldwell. In 1959 they moved to Emmett and he worked for the Emmett Meat Co.
Later he worked as an independent cattle buyer. He enjoyed his work until his health kept him away from the auction ring.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; and a brother, David.
Survivors include his two daughters: Bonnie (Pat) Watson, of Federal Way, WA, and Wanda (Bill) Kreizenbeck, of Emmett; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his sister, Maude Sowl, of Kearney, NE.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in his name to the 4-H Youth Livestock Auction, P.O. Box 785, Emmett, ID 83617.
