Port Huron - Jeanne B. Achatz, age 60, of Port Huron, passed away Friday, May 14, 2004 in Port Huron Hospital after a long illness.
She was born Feb. 4, 1944 in Detroit, the daughter of Walter and the late Geraldine Rickert.
Jeanne married Richard Achatz Aug. 26, 1961.
She enjoyed home type hobbies and loved working with crafts.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard Jr. and Betty Achatz; her daughter, Shelley L. Achatz; her father, Walter Rickert; her grandchildren, Ashlee Wolfe, Arike and Courtney Achatz and Nicholas and Brittanny Laeder; her brothers, Richard (Susan) Rickert of Marine City, James (Sandy) Rickert of China Twp. and Thomas (Debra) Rickert of St. Clair.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Rickert in 1992 and an infant son, Kevin Achatz in 1973.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp.
Visiting hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to the Frensenius Dialysis Center in Port Huron, in Jeanne's Memory.
