Elizabeth Green Bruce, born in 1779 or in 1782, was a daughter of John Bruce, Sr. and Elizabeth Clay Bruce.

Elizabeth Green Bruce married James King on July 28, 1796 in Richmond, Madison, Kentucky. They had five children.

Elizabeth Green Bruce King died in 1806 or 1810.

Conventional wisdom has Elizabeth Green Bruce King buried in the family cemetery. It is possible Elizabeth Green Bruce King was buried in Old Paint Lick Cemetery in Paint Lick, Garrard, Kentucky.

I have the cemetery books for Garrard Co & my book doesn't say any Kings are buried in this Bruce Cemetery, BUT....I do find an Elizabeth King in.... Paint Lick Cemetery, kind of in the general area as Bruce Cem. Her dates are 1781-1811. Sounds like that could be her. There are also Greens and Kings in that cemetery. It might be called Old Paint Lick on FAG.
**The Greens and Kings in Old Paint Lick Cemetery are not related to Elizabeth Bruce King's family.

The dates she [Yvonne] stated (1781-1811) are scary close to what they should be for Elizabeth Green Bruce King. Elizabeth's burial in the Bruce Cemetery is based on Sherlock's Lineage Memorial, which has errors. I think Yvonne is more than likely correct.

I searched a book that I have titled "Cemetery Records of Garrard County, 1792-1996." This was a complete survey completed in 1997 of all the cemeteries that could be found. I was not able to find a Elizabeth King in any cemetery in the county, including the Bruce Cemetery. I checked another resource for the "Lancaster Cemetery Records from 1857-1994," again without finding a listing for Elizabeth King.
