Lawrence Fiagle, 90, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, January 26, 2007, in Sunshine Terrace, Logan, Utah.

Lawrence (Larry) was born April 20, 1916, to Lewis and Theresa Fiagle of Downey, Iowa.
He married Wilma Irene Askam on Oct. 3, 1934, in Rock Island, Ill. They were married for 68 years. She preceded him in death in 2003.
Their home was blessed with two children, Gerry (Marilee) Fiagle of Providence, UT and Cynthia (Larry) Jones of East Moline, Ill.
Lawrence and Wilma lived in Downey where they were first married for one year before moving to Moline, Ill., where they lived for 67 years until Wilma's passing.
Lawrence worked at Iowa, Illinois Gas and Electric Company for 41 years, retiring in 1978.
Lawrence had a great love of music and his pride and joy was his sons dance band, where he did the booking for 15 years. He also taught himself to play the organ in his later years.
He loved to go fishing with his family and friends. His sense of humor and giving nature endeared him to many. He was a hard worker, thrifty and his family was the love of his life.
He is survived by 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren.
Three brothers, Charlie, Raymond and Clarence Fiagle; and one sister, Alta Schindler, have preceded him in death.
Interment will be at Downey Cemetery, Downey, Iowa.
