Olen V. Smith Sr., 74, northeast Kansas City, died Oct. 19, 1994, at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Earp Blue Ridge Chapel; burial in the Blue Springs Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel. Mr. Smith was born in McCurtain, Okla., and lived in this area most of his life. He was a truck driver for the Rock Acres Quarry, retiring in 1980. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Fraas-Fain post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Smit h of the home; two sons, Olen V. Smith Jr., Trimble, Mo., and Ronald Smith, Shawnee; two daughters, Phyllis Jones, Sunrise Beach, Mo., and Patty Jordan, Hale, Mo.; a sister, Inez Jordan, Odessa, Mo.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grand- children; and a great-great-grandson.
