BOND COUNTY - A man from Greenville, Ill., was killed early Sunday morning in a head-on crash in Bond County, Illinois State Police said.

Brock W. Adcock, 33, died at the crash scene shortly after 2 a.m., police said.

Police said Adcock was driving a white 2006 Dodge Stratus east on Route 140 near Linder Boulevard when his car slammed head-on with a westbound black 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Robert D. Reavis, 23, of Smithboro, Ill.

Police said Reavis was heading west on the highway, went off the road into a corn field, reentered the road and collided head-on with Adcock.

Reavis suffered minor injuries and was taken to Greenville Hospital, police said.

Police are awaiting results of toxicology tests to determine whether alcohol or drugs factored into the crash.
