Garry E. Huset, 58, of La Crosse, WI and formerly of Dallas, WI, passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2010 in Conover, NC. He was born on April 10, 1952 to Clifford and Delores (Stolt) Huseth in Rice Lake, WI. Garry attended Barron High School and graduated in 1970. He worked for 20 years with Dairyland Power, then for Dart Transit, Monohan, Martin and finally Taylor Truck Lines. Garry was a longtime member of the La Crosse Moose Lodge. He will be most remembered for his lightheartedness, love for life, his witty sense of humor and his love for his children.
He was preceded in death by his father: Clifford and brothers: Jerry and Clyde Huset. He is survived by his mother: Delores Huseth of Dallas, son: William (Tia) Huset of La Crosse, daughters: Wendy (JP Piche) Schaitel of LaCrescent, MN, Melissa (Matt) Knutson of West Salem, and Angela Huset of La Crosse, grandchildren: Allison Schaitel, Eric, Kayla and Jessica Knutson, Kyle Colsch and Haiden Huset, brothers: David (Diane) of Chippewa Falls, Roger (Carol) of Grabill, IN and Blaine (Kristen) Huset of Ridgeland and Paul (Laura) Huseth of Yelm, WA, best friends: Mike and Barb Wallace, his faithful dog: Lacey, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Dallas Lutheran Church in the Town of Dallas with Rev. Bob Friese officiating and interment at Dallas Cemetery in the Town of Dallas. The family was served by Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
