Funeral services for Lewis Jordan, 85, Broken Bow, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. David Carroll officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Brumley-McCurtain Funeral Home.

Jordan died today at Broken Bow Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Omaha, Texas, the son of Alec and Lucy Jordan.

Jordan had lived most of his life in McCurtain County. He married Ola Mae White in 1936. Jordan was a retired Weyerhaeuser employee and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a son; by his brother, Frank Jordan; and by a sister, Myrtis.

Survivors include his wife, Ola Mae Jordan, Broken Bow; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Charlene Jordan, Broken Bow; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Sue Clarence Childs, and Norma Nix, all of Broken Bow; two brothers, Ervin Jordan, Idabel, and Charlie Jordan, California; two sisters, Ruby Mills, Cloudy, and Sis Lewis, Neosho, Mo.; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
