The Lord has taken home our oldest father, Ingvald Thorsen, born on the farm Bunes in Rostagen, Smaaland, Norway the 24th of September 1812.
In 1830 he was united in marriage with Raindi Dalen and they were blessed with 8 children of which 2 are dead. Of the 6 there are 4 here in America and 2 in Norway. The deceased immigrated from Norway the 24th of May 1881 and came to Blanchard, ND to h is daughter Karen and son inlaw R. M. Sundby, where he has lived since he came here.
Ingvald Thorsen died the 2nd of June unexpectedly. He died at his daughter's home in Portland, ND and was 93 years, 8 mos and 9 days old. The funeral will be held the 5th of June.
