H.G. Palmer served as a state trooper, serving in Coleman County from 1956-1958. He retired from the Texas Highway Patrol in 1976 after serving 30 years.
Survived by his wife; two sons - Aubra Palmer and Allen Palmer; two step-daughters - Jill Page and Jan Doyle; one step-son - Jim Coleman; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren.
