Theodore Jarrett Abercrombie, 85, of the 2800 block of Shore Drive, a retired Navy captain, died June 17, 1992, in a hospital.


Capt. Abercrombie was a lawyer and served in the Judge Advocate General Corps. He was born in Vandiver, Ala., and received his law degree from the University of Alabama. He was a member of Baylake United Methodist Church, Phi Alpha Delta and Retired Officers Association. After retiring from the Navy he practiced law with the firm of Fine, Fine, Legum and Fine.


Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth G. Abercrombie; a son, T.J. Abercrombie Jr. of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren.


The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Herbert G. Hobbs. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Road Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
