Howard Lewis Voland, 89, of Nashville passed away Friday October 29, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital.

He was born on July 8, 1921 to the late Oral and Florence (Bradley) Voland in Brown County, Indiana. He was a retired Engineer with Cummins for 35 years. He was a US Air Force Veteran of WWII.

His memberships include: Masonic Lodge #135 in Nashville, Scottish Rite (32nd Degree) Greenlawn Cemetery Board, Veterans of Foreign War, American Legion, he was a Realtor, also a member of the Roaming Buffalo Camping Club.

He is survived by one Daughter and Her Husband: Donna and Larry Borders of Nashville,one sister andf husband: Mable and Richard Frye of Columbus, Indiana,four Grandchildren: Jennifer Bailey of Nashville, Todd Merideth of Hilton Head S.C., Lisa & Todd McNealy of Columbus, Indiana and Christy and Joe Schadenfroh of Nashville, Indiana. Also 5 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Ruby Voland, one daughter, Carolyn Merideth, two Brothers: Elmer and Elmo Voland.

Friends may call at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home on Sunday October 31, 2010 from 12 Noon to 4 PM with a Masonic Service at 3:30 PM. The Funeral Service will be on Monday November 1, 2010 at the Funeral Home with burial following the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville with a Military Service by the Veterans Honor Guard.
