Raymond J. Grabowski, Sr., age 88, of Lawrence Park, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 18, 2010 following an extended illness. He was born in Syracuse , N.Y. on November 24, 1921, son of the late Frank and Mary Grabowski. Ray was a member of Mount Calvary R.C. Church, the Senior Citizens' Group and the Usher's Society. Ray worked at Lakeview Forge and then Kaiser Aluminum until his retirement. He was a member of the Kaiser Aluminum Retiree's Assn. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in WWII. Ray is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Grabowski; four children [ ],nine grandchildren [ ], five great-grandchildren [ ]; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Marie Grabowski; three brothers, Harold, Frank and Robert Grabowski; and two sisters, Rita Michard [sic] and Agnes Gallagher. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Monday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Mount Calvary R.C. Church. Entombment, Calvary Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Erie Crawford County Veterans Burial Detail.
