"SY(sic) LYND DIES"
"Sy Lynd, age 40, native of New Orleans and resident of Biloxi for about 30 years, died this morning at 3:40 at the residence, 944 Railroad avenue after a lingering illness of ten weeks. He was in the transfer business in Biloxi for many years, but for the past two years has (not)been engaged in any work because of illness. He leaves a wife and mother, Mrs. Alice Lynd; three sisters, Mrs. Geo. Ahern, Mrs. W. L. Dye and Mrs. H. E. Belsom; a daughter, Miss Anna Earle; four sons, Ernest, Milton, Sy Jr. and Osborn of Biloxi. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock with services in the Church of the Nativity."
Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 15, pg 141: Sye was 38 years old when he died at his home, "Bohn and Railroad". He was a drayman by occupation and was married to Edna Lyons.
