David married for a second time on October 1, 1902 in Ithaca, Gratiot County, Michigan to Victoria Smith. At the time of his second marriage, David lived in Arcada Township, Gratiot County, Michigan and held the occupation of farmer. A year later Victoria conceived a daughter by the name Emeline.
In 1910, David and Victoria were found to live on a farm, they held the mortgage on, in Arcada Township, Gratiot County, Michigan. While David farmed to raise money for his family, their daughter attended school and Victoria kept the house. By 1920, David and Victoria had moved their family to Sumner Township, where David continued to farm. Emeline, now sixteen years old still attended school.
David died on December 31, 1933 in Sumner Township, Gratiot County, Michigan.
