CHESTER L. MATTIX, 69, of 2924 S. Clifton, retired Beech Aircraft Co. machinist, died Saturday, July 18, 1987. Service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Lakeview Funeral Home.

Survivors: wife, Opal; sons, Chester L. Jr. of Wichita, James of Orlando, Fla.; daughters, Kay L. Papa of Phoenix, Sherry E. Walston, Marlyn S. Stewart, both of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Memorial has been established with Brookside United Methodist Church.
