George F. Faber, 85, of 537 Kedzie St., died today at a Madison hospital after a short illness. A native ot Nebraska, he spent his youth in Ashton. He moved to Sun Prairie in 1910 and farmed in that area until five years ago when he retired. His wife, Margaret, died March 12. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Madison; its Holy Name Society, and of Notre Dame Dad's Club. Survivors are four daughters; Sister Deicola of Mt. Calvary; Sister Lipharda of Sun Prairie; Mrs. Francis Keliher, 537 Kedzie St.; and Marie of Perkins, MI; two sons, Ray of DeForest; and Alphonse, 4421 Hillcrest Dr.; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Heyroth of Alma Center; and Mrs. Leon Vogt of Spokane, WA; a brother, Lawrence of Stevens Point; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Joyce Funeral Home, 540 W. Washington Ave., and at 9:30 in St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Sun Prairie. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. The rosary will be recited there Friday at 8:30 p.m. Capital Times 4/12/1962
