MT VERNON--Funeral services for George Roland Rodgers, 53, of Mt. Vernon will be at 1:30pm Monday in the Max L Fossett Chappel here with J Friggle officiating. Burial will be in Ruckman Cemetery.
Mr. Rodgers, a lifelong resident of Lawrence County died at 9:45 am Friday in Springfield General Osteopathic Hospital after an illness of one month.
He was a veteran of World War II and was an employee of the Missouri State Chest Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Surviving him ae his wife, Pauline; a son Jimmy of Billings, Mont.; a daughter Mrs. Barbara Janes, of Marionville; three brothers, Paul of Springfield, Melvin of Marionville, and Charles of Republic; three sisters, Mrs. Benice Morris, St. Louis, Mrs. Kathyrn Jackson, Aurora and Mrs. Helen Young, Kansas City; and four grandchildren.
