Born in Washington, DC, she was a graduate of George Washington University, and taught home economics at Gordon Junior High School for more than 30 years before retiring in 1980. She moved to Christiansburg in 2004.
A lifelong member of the Baha'i Faith, she served on the Spiritual Assemblies of Washington, DC and Reston, VA.
Graveside service and interment at Arlington National Cemetery on November 29, at 1 pm.
