Without regaining consciousness from a fall in which concussion of the brain resulted Thursday morning. Mrs. Elizabeth Runells Adams, wife of N.E.Adams died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. E. Dawson yesterday. The death was a shock to her many friends, few of whom knew of her serious illness. Early Tuesday while she was combing her hair in her bed room she fell in a faint and in the fall suffered a severe concussion. The cause of the fall is attributed to embolism. No one was in the house with her at the time except her aged husband. He had gone to the basement and heard her fall and found her lying on he floor unconscious. Doctors were called and worked upon her all day Thursday and Friday. She had been in frail health for several years but was better the last few months.
She was born in Tiffan, Ohio, Dec. 14, 1838 and was 69 years old. She was married to N.E. Adams at Wellington, Ohio. Sept,1,1861. In march 1880 they moved to this city and have resided here since. She is survived by her husband, daughters, Mrs. M.M. Strader of Chicago, Mrs. C.E. Dawson, Decatur, son Dr. W.R. Adams, Decatur, sisters Mrs. J. A. Baman, Mrs. James Manchester, brother, W.H. Runells, all of Cleveland.
She was a member of the First Methodist church and member of the Womans Foreign Missionary society, member of the D.A.R.
