St. Clair - Marvin B. Williams Sr., 70, of St. Clair, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997 in Oscoda.
He was born Aug. 17, 1926 in Detroit. Marvin married Alice Smith on Oct. 26, 1946. she died Feb. 14, 1993.
Marvin was a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 10 for 40 years. He was a life member and Past Commander of the St. Clair American Legion and the Marine City V. F. W. He was a member of the Legion's 40/8 and the V. F. W. Cooties and the Eagles of Oscoda.
Marvin is survived by his children, Marvin Jr. and Diane Williams of Port Huron, Al and Judy Williams of Goodells, Rose Mead and Jim of St. Clair, Bob and Jamie Williams of Bonita springs, Don Williams of Birch Run, Larry and Kathy Williams and Shirley and Jerry Currier of St. Clair; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ilene and Jim Kelly, Theresa and Frank Schmidt, Phyllis and Marv Schade and Janet and Jerry Riedel; and his sister-in-law, Rose Mary.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday in the L.C. Friederichs and son Funeral Home, Rev. John Naile will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Visiting hours and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today with legion service at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the 40/8 Nurses Training Program.
