Funeral services were held for Fred Allery, 76, of Belcourt. He died Monday, October 19, 1998 at Trinity Medical Center in Minot.

Services were held Wednesday, October 21, at 10 a.m., at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Henry Martin, Jr., Art Crissler, Norman Swain, Melvin Smith, Charles Crissler and Martin Trottier. Special music was provided by Francis Malaterre.

Fred Allery was born April 18, 1922 in Belcourt, a son of Phillip and Betsy (Patnaude) Allery. He was raised in the Belcourt area. He worked construction and farmed in North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.

Survivors are his wife, Mildred (Azure) Allery of Belcourt; two sons, Gary of Jamestown and Glenn of Belcourt; ten daughters, Gail Frazier, Betsy LaVallie, Lori Amyotte and Dorine Allery, all of Witchita Falls, Texas; Rhonda Baker, Debbie Charette, Marlys Parisien, Kathy Charette, Carolle LaVallie and Wendy Allery, all of Belcourt; five sisters, Anna Houle, Dorothy Allick and Jenny Azure of Belcourt; Louise Peltier of Dunseith, and Maggie McGee of Rolla; 36 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Niewoehner Funeral Home of Rolla.
