Steven O. Potter, 17, died Saturday at his home on Grand view Avenue in Lake Placid after a very brief illness. He was born in Philadelphia. Pa., a son of Harry O. Potter, Jr. and Mary Baker Potter. He was a junior at Lake Placid High School and a member of the school marching band. He was also a member of Sing Out High Peaks and the North Country Community Orchestra.

Survivors are: his parents; a sister, Dianne; a brother, Dennis; and his grandparents, Mrs. Margaret Baker of Marcus Hook, PA and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Potter of Lake Placid.

The funeral service was held this morning at St. Eustace's Church in Lake Placid with the rector, the Rev. William Hayes conducting the service, assisted by the Rev. William Vigne, pastor of the Adirondack Community Church.

Pallbearers, all members of the Lake Placid School Marching Band were: Tracy Lamb, Paul Winton, Michael St. Louis, Randy Wells, Stanley Burgoyne and Raymond Durkee.

The Potter family requests that friends wishing to remember Steven send memorial donations to the Lake Placid high School Marching Band in his name. They may be sent to Raymond Durkee, band director.
