"Edward F. Wentzel, 76, died at his home Saturday evening at 11:30 p.m.

"He was born in the Town of Wolf River, March 16, 1882 and attended rural schools there, and on February 5, 1908 he married Erma Lieby in Fremont, and they lived in the Town of Wolf River until 1923 and for three years in Appleton, during which time he served on the Town of Fremont board and school boards of Fremont and Appleton.

"In 1926 Mr. Wentzael moved to Winneconne where he continued farming until his retirement in 1950. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winneconne and the Winneconne Lodge No. 186 F and AM.

"Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Vera Cole and Mrs. Ila Zimmerman of Winneconne, Mrs. Emily Springer, Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Mavis Bingen, Hales Corners; two sons, Clarence and Gordon of Winneconne; four brothers, Arthur, of Winneconne, Harry, of Appleton; George, Omro; Fred, Fremont; two sisters, Mrs. August Wohlt, and Mrs. Grover Ulrich, both of Fremont, and eight grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

"Funeral servicers were in the Presbyterian Church with Rev. James Fyfe officiating. Interment was in the Winneconne Cemetery.

"Pallbearers were Milton Wentzel, Oscr Wentzel, Earl Wentzel, Howard Wentzel, Robert Ulrich and Robert W[oh]lt. Arrangements were in charge of Mueller Funeral Home."
