1876, Oct 29: Bayard N. Anderson was born in (Anderson's Landing), Hancock Co., WV. His parents were J.E. Anderson and J.M. Anderson. Bayard may have been a clerk misspelling.

In the 1880 Census, Baird, 3, was living in the Butler District, Hancock Co., WV, with his parents, Jas. E. Anderson, 30, born WV, and Jessie Anderson, 29, born PA, and his siblings, Ella Anderson, 5, born WV; David Anderson, 1, born WV, and a cousin, Florence Anderson, 19, born WV. His father was a brick manufacturer.

1898: Baird N. Anderson, was a Private, Co. E, 8th Ohio Infantry, during the Spanish-American War. On 17 Feb 1899, he applied for a pension, #1,219,269. Certificate #1,084,262. The pension, as an Army Invalid, War with Spain, was granted, Certifiate #1,084,362 was granted on 1 Jul 1904. Disability was "Mal. pora" and diarrahea. His file was transferred from Columbus.

In 1900, Baird, 23, was living at 143 Third St., East Liverpool (Ward 2), Columbiana Co., OH, with his parents, Jos.(sic) E. Anderson, 51, born Jan 1849 in WV, and Jessie Anderson, 49, born Feb 1850 in PA, and his siblings, Ella S. Anderson, 25, born WV; David C. Anderson, 21, born WV; Elizabeth Anderson, 14, born WV; James E. Anderson, 12, born WV; Thos. B. Anderson, 8, born WV. Baird was a photographer. His father was superintendant of a brick works. (NOTE: the Family Search transcriber recorded "Baird W" rather than "Baird N.). He was still at home, 308 College St., East Liverpool, in 1910. He was an oil worker.

Between 1910 and 1917 he married Alice B. _____. No record has been found of this marriage.

On Sep 12 1917, Baird Nichol Anderson, 43, born 29 Oct 1875, registered for the WW I draft at Local Board, Wood Co., 217 Fourth St., Parkersburg, WV. He was residing at 616 1/2 Julian St., Parkersburg, WV. He was a salesman for National Refining Co., Rose Bldg., Cleveland, OH. His contact was Mrs. Alice B. Anderson at the same home address. From this record, we know that he was of medium height and medium build, with brown eyes and black hair, and had no physical disabilities

Baird and Alice were divorded between 1917 and 1930.

In 1930, Baird, 51 and divorced, was lodging at 109 West Hubbard, Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto Co., TX. He was a petroleum engineer. He claimed WV birth for both parents.

He moved to Clymer, Indiana Co., PA, ca. 1937, to live with his mother and siblings. He died there.
