Obituary, The Columbia Daily Tribune, April 10, 1998:

Ralph Hartley Perkins, 67, of Novelty died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Fenton Funeral Chapel in Centralia with the Rev. David Hartgrove officiating. Burial will be in Centralia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the funeral home.

Mr. Perkins was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Randolph County to John and Eva Leathers Perkins.

He married Norma Sue Wright on Nov. 20, 1954, in Bevier, and she survives.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired farmer and truck driver.

Survivors also include three sons, Randall Lee Perkins of Bethel, David Allan Perkins of Novelty and James William Perkins of Kirksville; two daughters, Linda Sue Golden of Hurdland and Lorie Ann Perkins of Kirksville; a brother; Jack Perkins of Cairo; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Spears of Centralia and Norma Ruth Bay of Green Ridge; 21 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
