Lamar Denby of Highway Baptist Church Officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas. Loretta died April 9, 2006, in Lufkin, Texas. She was born July 5, 1919, in Shelby County, Texas. She was the daughter of William Albert Pate and Ima Powers.
Loretta was as a sales clerk at Cason Monk Hardware and was a member of New Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Thurman McCarty and his wife Joyce of Lufkin, Texas; daughter, Linda Forsythe and husband of Nacogdoches; sister, Dean Hooker of McAllen, Texas; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. today.
