This is a special thanks to Alice Morton for sponsoring my Grandfathers memorial. You are an Earth Angel.

My step Grandfather:

He was born March 14, 1899 to Amarante and Delphinia Martinez Rodriquez in Red Wing, Colo. He was raised and educated in Walsenburg.

Nov 10 1952 he married Pauline Carbajal in Montrose. A previous marriage to Carmelita Avila ended with her death, May 10, 1947.

My Grandpa worked in the farming, ranching and sheep herding professions until his retirement at the age of 72 in 1972.

He loved his work and especially loved the outdoors and working with animals. After his retirement, he enjoyed time in his flower and vegetables gardens, where he raised vegetables for his family and neighbors. His yard was immaculate and the centerpiece of his neighborhood. He was always so happy to see us, so I know that he enjoyed his children, his many grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife Pauline, He had two sons Leroy Belarde of Montrose, Colo. and Eddie Belarde of Denver, Colo. six daughters, Lucrecia Montano of Aztec M.M, Adeline Montano of Egnar Colo., Sophie Herrera or Westminister Colo., Jennie Romero of Commerce City, Colo., Stella Ordenana of Montrose Colo., and Emily Duran of Commerce City Colorado, 28 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren. He also had a brother Larence Rodriquez.

I will always love and miss my Grandpa. He was very special part of me that I will always carry with me.

I love you...
