Evelyn Cupp Linkous, 88, of Merrimac, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2010. She was born on March 30, 1922 to the late Robert and Addie Cupp. She was preceded in death by her husband Garner C. Linkous, son Glenn R. Linkous, and daughter-in-law Thelma Linkous. She was a member of the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Freda Bowman, Faye and William Pack, Donna Cox and Winston Linkous, Jaunita Tolbert, and Deborah and Jeffrey Nester; sons and daughters-in-law, George Linkous, Phillip and Melissa Linkous; and grandchildren and spouses, Johnny Bowman, David Bowman, Amby and Tony Linkous, Patricia and Todd Linkous, Machelle and James McClain, Scott and Loretta Linkous, Teresa and Danny Epperly, Daniel and Dana O'Brien, Robert and Stefanie O'Brien, Joshua Linkous, Samantha and John Stanger, Gabrielle Linkous, Tony and Trina Harris; twenty great-grandchildren; four great-greatgrandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Kathleen Linkous, Edna Linkous, Elizabeth Perfater, and Sylvia Linkous; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Margaret (Bunny) Walker. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Eddie Roberts and the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening Nov 15, 2010, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg. Flowers would be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Carilion Hospice Service of NRV, 707 Randolph St. Suite 251, Radford, Va., 24141.
