Borden was born at Piedmont, Ala., and came to the Kittitas Valley, with his family, in 1935. They had farmed in the same location since. He was married to Arzetta Ford at South McAllister, Okla., Feb. 13, 1916.
He is survived by his widow, of Ellensburg, and by three sons, Lloyd, Hubert and Piersol Borden, all of Ellensburg; three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Smith, Mrs. Betty Walker and Miss Wanda Borden, also all of Ellensburg; a twin brother, Albert Borden of Bakersfield, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Mary Smith of Bakersfield; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 23, at 2 p.m., in the Honeycutt-Evenson chapel, with the rev. Gerald L. Webber officiating. Burial in the IOOF Cemetery will follow. (obituary published in Ellensburg Daily Record, apr. 21, 1952, page 1)
