Christopher Javon (Cheezy) Hunter, 18, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, in Abilene.

Christopher Javon (Cheezy) Hunter, was born October 26, 1989, in Amarillo, Texas to Mr. Mac Hunter and Rosie Tates. Chris attended College Heights Elementary, Franklin Middle School and Abilene High, all in Abilene, Texas.

Chris accepted Christ at an early age. He was a kind, loving person who did not mind helping out others. If he had it and you needed it, you got it. He especially loved kids. For someone who had no kids, he took care of other people's kids. No child went without with Chris around. He was loved by all and will be missed by many.

To cherish his heartfelt memories he leaves his mother, Rosie Tates; his sister, Latonya Webster; his brothers, Jarvis Hunter and Willie Hunter; and a great aunt, Mabel Neal, all of Abilene. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and his special cousin, Shantera Batee.

Worry not. Chris will not be alone. Preceding him on to glory were his father, Mac Hunter; his brother, Jeremy Webster; his cousin, Ima Lashon Neal; his uncle, David Lee Tates, Jr.; and his grandparents, David Lee Tates, Sr. and Dorothy Tates.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Galilee Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bobby King. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
