Funeral services for Adolph T. Amundson, aged 51, whose death was announced in our last issue, were held at the St. Petri Lutheran church at Gary Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. H. S. Larson officiating. Music at the services was by the St. Petri Male Chorus, and Mrs. Selmer Gullingsrud was the organist. Interment was in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Fredrikson Funeral Home of Ada.
Mr. Amundson passed away last Wednesday, July 23, about 6 p. m. of a sudden heart attack, while at work. He had not been ill previously.
At the time of his death he was engaged in repairing some road equipment for the county highway department on a road in Hegne township, southwest of Ada, when he was suddenly and unexpectedly stricken.
Adolph T. Amundson was born at Gary, this county, Decemter 12, 1900, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thor Amundson. He attended the Gary schools and had resided in that community all his life.
For the past several years he had been employed as mechanic by the county highway department, repairing and maintaining county road equipment, and was regarded as a highly efficient and valuable employee.
He was unmarried and the immediate surviving relatives include four sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Agnes) Werner of McVille, N. D., Louise, Dagne and Signe Amundson, all of Gary.
