Timothy D. Hepner, 67, of Lilly, Pa., died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Born March 31, 1943, in Johnstown, he was the son of Henry and Anna Hepner. After graduating from high school, Tim served in the Navy for six years on a mine sweeping ship, during which time he was involved in the Cuban blockade. He went on to become a state policeman, serving throughout the state of Pennsylvania including, Kittanning, Butler and Punxsutawney. He was appointed to lieutenant on Oct. 20, 1983, and retired in 1998 after 30 years of service. He will be deeply missed and is survived by his wife, Tricia (Muldoon) Hepner, of Lilly; his brother, Bert Korieth and his wife, Virginia, of Butler; his son, Timothy S. Hepner, of Kittanning; his son, Bert C. Hepner, DO, of Kittanning, and his wife, Molly; and four grandchildren, Allie, Cade, Gram and Layne Hepner. Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Missy Sauer, of Newport Richey, Fla.; two grandchildren, Crystal and Austin; and one great-grandchild, Aiden. Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the CLOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, Lilly, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Interment to follow at St. Bridget's Cemetery.
