Cora Porter, 82 Laid To Rest Last Saturday
Mrs. Cora Porter, 82, passed away at the Atlantic Memorial hospital at 8:30 P. M., last Wednesday, April 10, 1957, after an illness of two weeks.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13th, at 2:00 P. M. at the Massena Methodist church with Rev. Joseph Mason officiating. A quartet, composed of Louise Platt, Bessie Ryan, Arthur Taylor, and Wray Wollenhaupt sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden," accompanied by Miss Shirley Maas. Mrs. Lyle Hosfelt and Mrs. Mary Holste were in charge of flowers. Pallbearers were grandsons, Ivan Porter, Hubert Porter, Merlyn Brown, Everett Hood, and Burton Hood and a nephew, Keith Bissell. Interment was in the Massena Center Cemetery.
