MRS. MARGARET HANLEY HITE

Wife of Peter A. Hite, died at her home in Roaring Spring Tuesday morning at 8.05 o'clock, death following an illness of two years from cancer. She was born at Plum Creek, May 27, 1860, the daughter of Christ and Mrs. Barbara Hanley, and had resided in Roaring Spring most of her life. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Josiah Hite and Mrs. Harvey Hess of Roaring Spring and Abram and Peter, jr., both of Altoona. One sister, Mrs. Sue Kurtz of Roaring Spring, also survives, and six grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Ku Klux Klan auxiliary and was affiliated with the missionary societies of her church. Funeral services will be conducted in the Roaring Spring Methodist church Friday morning at 9 o'clock, in charge of her pastor, Rev. George S. Womer, assisted by Rev. A.S. Williams of the Eighth Avenue Methodist church, a former pastor. Interment in Greenlawn cemetery.
