Survivors include daughter Georgia C. (Newman) Sharp; son Jerry M. (Teresa) Crossman, Jr and son John Allan (Tracey) Crossman. Also surviving are one brother John Compton Crossman, Jr. of Galvaston, Texas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Jerry was a 1948 graduate of Franklin Community High School and a graduate of Texas A & M University, class of 1952.
He was a twenty-one year veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during Vietnam War where he received the Silver Star. Jerry retired from the United States Air Force in March, 1973 as a Lt. Colonel.
David Owens will conduct a celebration of life service on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin, IN. Friends may call on Thursday, November 18th from 5:00 p.m. to time of service at 6:30 p.m. A military service will be conducted immediately following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
