Raymond J. Kasprowicz, 72, of 1532 Illinois St., La Salle died at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 13, 1997, in his home after an extended illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Hurst Funeral Home, La Salle, with an 11 a.m. Mass in St. Patrick's Church, La Salle. The Rev. Duane Leclercq will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until the start of services Wednesday in the funeral home.
He was born July 20, 1925, in La Salle to Anton and Helen (Widlowski) Kasprowicz. He married Norma Ochs in April, 1947.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945 in World War II. He worked in the Kaskaskia Grill as a bar manager for 30 years. He then worked in Peru Mall, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the La Salle Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the La Salle Knights of Columbus.
Survivors are his wife of La Salle; two sons, Gary Kasprowicz of Peoria and David (Christine) Kasprowicz of Peru; a daughter, Mary Kaye (Bob) Washkowiak of La Salle; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son in infant and a brother.
