LANCASTER: Ralph W. Dittoe, 91, of Lancaster, Ohio anf Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Saturday November 6, 2010 at the Lee Memorial Hospital Fort Myers, Florida.

He was born onJanuary 31, 1919 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Clarence L. and Cora (Huber) Dittoe.

Ralph served in the U.S. Navy Seebees during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He retired as a contractor in 1981. Ralph was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, the Moose Lodge and American Legion in Lancaster. He was past president of the Homebuilders Association, the Exchange Club, and a former 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Ralph is survived by his daughters, Sharon K. Clark and Patti W. (Ray) Wolshire both of Lancaster; son, Ralph W. (Judy) Dittoe Jr. of Richmond Dale, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; special companion, Flo Yates..

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther Eileen Dittoe; son-in-law, Tom Clark; grandson, David Wolshire; sisters, Betty Horn and Joan Gamble; brother, Carl Dittoe.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the St. Mary Church with Fr. Donald Franks as celebrant.

Interment wil be in St. Mary Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be on Friday, November 19 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Olivedale Senior Citizens or a charity of the Donor's Choice.
