Hazel Dent Matheny, 89, of No. 29 Oak Circle, Bickel Estates, Parkersburg, died Thursday morning in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wood County a daughter of the late M.M. and Maria Young Dent. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Tavennerville Woman's Church Circle.
She is survived by three sons, Gordon Brown of Iowa City, Iowa, James Brown of Mishawaka, Ind and P.J. Randolph of Parkersburg and one daughter Deloris Morehead of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren; one brother W.C. Dent of Parkersburg; one sister Norma Florence of Parkersburg.
She was preceded in death by her second husband P.J. Randolph and her third husband John Matheny.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Kimes Funeral Home with the Rev. Lejeune Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Parkersburg IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 pm today and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Saturday and until the time of services.
