Drowning Accident. Saturday
evening as three boys, who live in the
district along the west shore of the
lake north of the Farrant place were
coming to this village on their skates,
they broke through the ice near Far
rant's Point and were drowned. Their
names are Edward Scott, son of L. S.
Scott, aged 19 years; Will Daggett,
son of Hollis M. Daggett, aged 16
years and George Kilby, son of Mrs.
J. S. Rogers of West Derby, aged 16
years. John Scott, who is at work
for the Farrant, heard the cry of the
boys for help in the evening, about 7
o'clock, but not knowing where they
were or what trouble they were in,
went to his father's and learned that
the boys had started for the village
on skates, and decided at once that
they were in the water. As soon as
possible parties went on to the lake
and soon found the place where the
unfortunate young men went down.
The bodies were recovered on Sun
day morning.
