Hester Ann Campbell was the daughter of Robert M. and Elizabeth (Smith) Campbell, who were Kentuckians,

Hester was born in Columbus, Adair County, Ky., in April, 1822, and first married, in 1835 to Christopher Corbin, who was born in Hopkins County, Ky., in 1811, and died in 1843

They were the parents of four children: George R. Corbin who became the county treasurer of Cedar County; James M. Corbin who became master mechanic, designer and builder, of Nevada, Mo.; Mary Corbin (Cluch) wife of Hardy J. Church and Sarah Catherine Corbin (Dunnegan) the wife of David J. Rountree, son of David & Victoria Rountree.

Mrs. Hester Campbell Corbin married widower Dr. James Dudley in 1849 who was born in Adair County, Ky., in 1807. They came to Stockton, Mo., in 1855, where he practiced medicine until his death, February 17, 1863

Hester Campbell Corbin and Dr. James Dudley had one child, John, who is the popular and courteous clerk of the Tennessee Hotel, which house his father built. Dr. Dudley was a skillful physician and surgeon.

Mrs. Hester Campbell Dudley married Rev. Jacob Lindley a widower with five children on the 13th of January of 1865 in Cedar county and were married until his death on the 21st pf April 1891

Mrs. Hester Lindley and her children were members of the Christian Church for the past forty six years, and was also a member of the Eastern Star Lodge
