Brownsville Times October 7, 1976 page 7 Many Shedd area residents attended the funeral of Hurley St. John, who passed away last Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Fisher Funeral home in Albany. Mr. St. John was born in Shedd Nov. 12, 1908. He owned and operated a service station-store on Highway 99-E in Shedd for many years, residing in Shedd until moving to Tillamook in 1954. He had lived in Beaverton the past 2 years. He passed away in Portland, apparently of a heart attack. The Rev. Clarence R. Desler officiated, and interment was at Willamette Memorial Park. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Yolo St. John; a son, James L. St. John of Bremerton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Georgia Henry of Dallas and Mrs. Bertha Boyet of Vancouver, Wash.; and 3 grandchildren.
